ipad smart cover feature overfunction?

Ipad air 1

IOS 9.3.5

My ipad has malfunction in smart cover lock&unlock system. Normally it should lock&unlock when cover was closed.

However, for my ipad, whenever I put the lid of smart case to the back of ipad, the lock&unlock function will be perform.

It's looked like that the magnetic sensor is overfunction or have wrong cut off point value. Or magnetic sensor location in the Ipad is misplaced.

Turning off smart cover screen unlock in setting solve the problem but also holding me from using this feature.

Are there anyone facing the same problem? I have tried using different smart case, either Apple's or from other brand.

I also have tried restore Ipad from itune, Erase all content and not using back up (I tried to rule out the chance that this problem has something to do with Ipad setting). Also this problem have been annoying me since IOS 8, updating IOS seem not useful. Restarting Ipad doesn't solve this.

Your English is not a problem, no need to apologize... 🙂

You already have tried many of the steps I would have recommended and I suspect at this point that the issue is hardware related with the iPad. I would take it to an Apple store or Authorized dealer for testing. The test should be free, repair/replacement would depend on your warranty status. Good luck.
